Water Babies Re-Booking Process - FAQ

What is the automatic re-booking system?

For your ease and to give existing Water Babies clients priority for courses each term, we operate an automatic rebooking system.

If you wish to re-book on the same day and time please head to your portal and make payment before the payment deadline.

If you want to change venue, day or time please email your local office with details of what you are looking for. To cancel, simply email your local office as well.

How does the re-booking process work?

  • We send out a rebooking email with the information for the next term in roughly week 5 of the term. We then give you 2 weeks to get back to us to cancel/change your lessons for the following term.
  • After the initial rebooking email, we normally send out up to 3 reminder texts throughout the 2 weeks just to remind you to get in touch should you need to cancel/change.
  • If we do not hear back from you, we will assume you want to continue swimming for the next term.  To make payment you can log into your ‘My Water Babies’ account and make payment any time before the deadline (see deadline dates below). Please note that if payment has not been completed by the deadline date, we'll regrettably have to cancel you out of classes.

Unfortunately, we have no flexibility with our rebooking dates and deadlines because we have only a few short weeks of the term to be able to merge classes that are not viable to continue for the following term.  We then go out to a large waiting list of swimmers looking to start/return to classes.

How do I cancel?

Send an email to your local office before the re-booking deadline. You will then be cancelled out of your class.

How do I request a change of day, time or venue?

Send an email with details of what you are looking for to your local office and we will contact you with available places. Please try and give us as much information as possible as to what you are looking for if you are only looking for certain alternative days, locations and time frames.

Should you need to change time or pool we’ll do our utmost to accommodate you, but unfortunately cannot guarantee it.  Weekends particularly are extremely popular so please contact us immediately if you need to move to weekends.

Why are classes cancelled?

As time progresses you may find your class size reducing (as parents return to work, etc.). Once a class has become too small to function properly, we will need to merge it with another. We try to keep class times as similar as possible but unfortunately cannot always guarantee this. If the merger of your class with another class results in a change of your class dates, times or venue, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible of any changes.

We don’t like having to cancel classes that are not viable just as much as you guys, especially in the very late stages of rebooking but this often happens due to late/last-minute/non-payment cancellations so unfortunately cannot always be helped.

Why is rebooking and payment made so early in advance of the following term?

Rebooking is a massive administrative task done by a small, yet very efficient administrative team and is normally carried out within a very small window.

How can I find out my class and payment details?

You can view your lesson dates and times, payment details, data preferences and more within your My Water Babies Account.

What is the deadline?

Re-booking deadline dates vary per term and per territory and are communicated in your rebooking emails and texts sent to you.  We also communicate them on our social channels.

Please contact your local office for specific re-booking details.

Re-booking deadline dates for the term starting in mid-November are as follows:

Dublin, Meath, Kildare - 24th June 2025

Galway, Limerick & Clare - 23rd June 2025

Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary, Carlow & Kilkenny - 30th June 2025

Cork & Kerry -  25th July 2025

How do I book my new baby into classes

Simply fill out our online enquiry form and we will be in touch when our beginner schedule is available.

Please bear in mind that the rebooking process is a huge administrative task for our small office teams across the country, when we have roughly 5000 little one’s swimming across Ireland with us each term.

We strive to provide you with the absolute best, premium and efficient customer service you deserve, and in order to do this, we must be strict with our rebooking process. Of course, if you have any issues, queries or concerns at all, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
