Pasta art
Are you sick of eating pasta? Well we’ve found another use. This one’s a bit of a throwback, but why not get your little one to try creating with a bit of pasta? They’re perfect for little fingers. All you need is some PVA glue, a piece of cardboard (try a cereal box) or some thick paper, and you little one is ready to go!
Toilet rolls
I’m sure you’ll have plenty of toiler rolls, which means plenty of cardboard rolls to get crafty with. Your little ones could use them to make trees or houses! Or let their imaginations run away with them and just leave them too it!
Potato stamping
Keep your toddler busy for hours with a potato. That’s right, a potato. You can create some really cool shapes out of this humble vegetable. Create a canvas by simply cutting your potato in half. You can either design your own print or use a cookie cutter to make an imprint. Now get some child friendly paint, some paper and let them loose!
We’ve also created a load of videos to help you get your crafting on. You’ll find them on our activities page here.
So there’s no need to go out. What’s important is keeping safe. And we bet if you just have a little rummage, you’ll be amazed at the things you can re-purpose around your home!
