We’re delighted to announce that Splashathon 2025 has raised an incredible €80,000 for the Children’s Health Foundation!
Thanks to the amazing efforts of our little swimmers and their dedicated families, this year’s campaign has been a huge success.
We are incredibly proud to support Children’s Health Foundation with this year’s Splashathon and we’re very pleased to have raised over €300,000 for children’s charities since Water Babies launched in Ireland 16 years ago.
Splashathon is a two-week fundraising event where children in Water Babies classes around the country, complete a sponsored swimming challenge suitable for their age and ability, dressed up as their favourite superhero in a specially themed lesson.
The funds raised support Children’s Health Foundation in providing every sick child in Ireland with the best possible care, through life-saving equipment, compassionate family support, and investment in leading-edge paediatric research.

Water Babies top fundraiser from Kilkenny Niamh Rowe and dad PJ Rowe and her aunt Eveleen Rowe—helped to present the cheque to the Children’s Health Foundation on behalf of Water Babies. They were joined by Sandra, a Water Babies teacher herself, and her son Barra who was also one of our top fundraisers.
